Ask about the size of the sample used in telephone surveys. Typically, surveys require 4 - 8 times more sample than interviews completed, with the less used the better (fewer refusals). Some firms use sample too freely, only interviewing those who are easily reached. Accuracy is maximized by including those that are hard to reach. |
Maine Consumer Confidence Low and Drops Lower While Consumer Confidence has rebounded from the historic lows of April, July and October 2008, it remains low. For four straight quarters, April 2009, July 2009, October 2009 and January 2010 consumer confidence has shown little sign of improvement.
