PRAMS

Forty states participate in the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) which gathers information that will be used to improve the health and well-being of infants and mothers across the country.

We have trained, SAMS-certified interviewers and supervisory staff currently using the CDC PIDS system for PRAMS data collection. We currently have SAMS-certified interviewers, bilingual interviewers, and four supervisors trained on this survey as well as using the CDC PIDS system.

Our PRAMS interviewers are selected among our pool of experienced interviewers based on length of service, performance, and our evaluation of their perceived ability to relate to the mothers to be interviewed. The process for granting access to PIDS is rigorous and time consuming so only our most highly skilled senior interviewers with proven capabilities are cross-trained for this data collection.
