Colorado 2016 Judicial Evaluation Reports Released

The 2016 rPrintound of judicial evaluation reports for the state of Colorado have been released.  These reports are the culmination of the 2015 data collection cycle, the first conducted by Market Decisions Research for the Colorado Office of Judicial Performance Evaluation.  Over the course of the 2015 cycle, MDR gathered survey data from 11,951 judges, attorneys, court staff, jurors, litigants, defendants, and witnesses about the performance of the judges standing for retention.

The survey data was then compiled into 108 customized reports, one for each judge standing for retention, and delivered to the Performance Evaluation Commission.  These initial reports were reviewed by commissioners and combined with the results of courtroom observations to inform the commission’s final retention recommendations.
